Job Summary:
Crossroads Communities CSA position sets the expectation of quality service and portrays who CRC strives to be on a daily basis in a client facing role. As a CSA you will assist clients in a variety of aspects. Identifying client needs through both conversation and an intake process will be a primary objective of the position. A CSA will offer needs-based assistance ranging from basic life skills to identifying health or service programs that are available and appropriate on an individual basis. Accessing and matching programs offered by community project partners and state agencies to create an awareness of wrap around services available to clients on and off site. A CSA may be required to provide outreach support, screening, research, and follow-up of potential client referrals. A CSA will assist residents on site working in collaboration with property management to help ensure a safe, secure and conflict free living environment.
Job Duties:
- Greet clients, providers and visitors as they enter the building.
- Communicate information effectively.
- Provide onsite food nutrition support.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down (clean up) for on-site events.
- The ability to work both independently and as a team-member.
- Participate in community outreach activities, and when appropriate, refer to peer partner agencies.
- Conducting in-person client interviews with the intent to obtain sensitive, confidential (personal, family, and financial) data.
- Interview clients to ascertain needs and obtain required verification to maintain complete and accurate client files.
- Maintain contact with clients, programs, and agencies to ensure continue support.
- Assess client information on completed forms for accuracy.
- Identify unmet health care/social service needs; make referrals for services to the appropriate service providers.
- Work with health care providers and social service personnel to identify those clients whose needs for services may have changed.
- Provide updated/detailed information to at-risk/homeless population regarding shelters, showers, food and clothing assistance.
- Respond to crisis situations involving clients, report possible protective service issues to appropriate agencies.
- Secure all confidential client information.

Experience and Expectations:
- One-year professional work experience in a customer facing role.
- Experience answering phones.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Ability to follow direction and multitask.
- Effectively manage time and tasks.
- Ability to self-start and ask for guidance when needed.
- Desire to help others.
- Must be a good listener, patient, understanding, flexible and inclusive of diverse backgrounds and ethnicities.
- Compassion for those who may be displaced, disadvantaged or of a vulnerable population.
- Desire to learn and work hands on with members of the community.
