Housing Conference 9/01/2026
Jumpstarting Oregon Rural Affordable Housing Development
Crossroads Communities partnered with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) for a partnership-building day to connect local models, state resources, bank financing, and actionable next steps to support rural housing efforts across communities.
The day’s activities featured speakers from Oregon Housing and Community Services (OHCS), Behavioral Health Integration, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the City of Lebanon, and several local organizations working to address our rural housing challenges.
Crossroads Communities’ Executive Director, Michael Couch, served as the MC for the event and kicked off the remarks with information about the work the Crossroads Communities (CRC) does across our region.
The event featured panels on Building Partnerships to Create Affordable Housing in oregon, State Policy and Resources Updates from OHCS and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and Banking Partnerships in Rural Affordable Housing Development.
The conference then turned to project pitches and networking so our partners in the region could take actionable steps to advance their projects to support rural affordable housing development.
All told, there were more than 80 attendees to the first ever Jumpstarting Oregon Rural Affordable Housing Development and it was considered a smashing success. Thank you to our regional partners, the FDIC, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the staff at the Boulder Falls Inn Events Center, and everyone who supported this incredible day of action!
