- Application Deadline: May 29, 2026
- Award Notifications Expected: June 22, 2026
Q&A:
- Question: Is a program that is part of a larger organization eligible for funding via this grant if it, itself, does not hold a 501(c)(3) status?
- Answer: Yes. These programs remain eligible to apply. If the program is applying through its larger organization, then the primary organization's EIN will be used and their nonprofit status would apply. If the program is applying on its own (with a separate EIN), then it may still apply, but the approval process will be more restricted and must be program-based (as opposed to a general funds or capacity building request).
- Question: Are school districts, and individual programs operating within them, eligible to apply?
- Answer: Yes, both school districts and programs within them are eligible. It is important to note, however, that if multiple entities within the same district plan to apply, each application should clearly demonstrate that the requested resources will support distinct programs or functions. Also, no entity (per EIN) may apply for more than $5000, so it is important to maintain clear communication to ensure that the school district does not oversubscribe to the grant program.
- Question: May my organization apply for the grant multiple times if our total request does not exceed $5000?
- Answer: Crossroads Communities encourages applicants to apply for the amount needed to do the amazing work they do. No entity may submit combined requests for more than $5000, but may make multiple program requests so long as the amount does not exceed the cap. Please make sure that your organization does not oversubscribe, as CRC will only accept a maximum of $5000 of requests from any given organization, and will provide reviewers the requests in the order in which they are received.

Organizations that Received Funding Through the Inaugural
Linn County Community Fund Grant:
Crossroads Communities is proud to announce the recipients of the inaugural Linn County Community Fund Grant. This first funding cycle brought forward applications from organizations across Linn County, each working to strengthen the health, stability, and connection of the people they serve.
Reviewing these applications was both a privilege and a genuine challenge. The projects and programs below reflect the range of work happening in our communities every day, from emergency assistance and food security to education, the arts, and family support.
2026 Grant Recipients:
Mercy House International
Mercy House International supports women and children recovering from domestic abuse, funding its work through two resale boutiques in Albany. Grant funds support the organization's Benevolence Fund, which provides direct assistance for rent, utilities, groceries, and transportation to women and children leaving abusive situations. Mercy House served more than 200 people last year, and this funding goes entirely to direct client assistance.
Lebanon Community School District Welcome Center
The LCSD Welcome Center serves 600 to 900 students each year across 11 schools who are facing homelessness or housing instability. Grant funds provide basic needs for those students and their families, including clothing, hygiene supplies, food boxes, and gas cards, along with safety-planning support and access to after-school and enrichment programming.
Lebanon Soup Kitchen
For 37 years, the Lebanon Soup Kitchen has served free meals three days a week alongside survival supplies for neighbors in need. Grant funds go toward kitchen upgrades that keep the operation running safely and efficiently, including health-code shelf liners, a food chopper, heat lamps, a juicer, a computer, and clothing racks. The kitchen runs with one paid manager and roughly 40 volunteers.
Family Tree Relief Nursery
Family Tree Relief Nursery has spent more than 20 years preventing child abuse and neglect through free early-intervention services, serving over 2,000 people in Linn County last year with a 97% family-preservation rate. Grant funds support its holiday Family Fun event, bringing together 100 families who might otherwise spend the season isolated, with food, activities, and gas cards to help them get there.
Santiam Hospital & Clinics
Santiam Hospital & Clinics received an award to help add to their general funds for the Scio and Santiam Canyon SITs. The grant supports the ongoing work of both teams in the communities they serve to help individuals with emergency expenses to lessen the financial burdens they face.
FISH of Lebanon
FISH of Lebanon's clothing program serves several hundred people every month. Grant funds provide new storage and display equipment, allowing volunteers to sort, store, and present donated clothing far more efficiently, so more families can be served and served faster.
Family and Communities Together (FACT)
FACT is a health and social-service program of Greater Albany Public Schools serving more than 1,500 students and families. Grant funds go toward emergency financial assistance for families in crisis, covering utility bills, transportation, eyeglasses, and other medical needs, helping keep students stable and in school.
Thank You to Our Applicants!
To every organization that submitted an application this cycle, thank you. The quality and breadth of the work represented speaks to how much is being accomplished throughout Linn County, often quietly and with very limited resources. We were not able to fund every request, but we are grateful to each of you for sharing your work with us and for the trust that took.
We are looking forward to continuing the Linn County Community Fund Grant in 2027 and to seeing what this community brings forward next. Thank you all, and we'll see you next year.
