Dr. Jeannie Davis & Students from Western University held a healthy cooking class for Applegate Landing residents.
LASAR is a collaboration between Samaritan Health, the LCSD Welcome Center, faith-based organizations, local non-profits, social service agencies, local businesses and county agencies and is operated and administrated by Crossroads Communities.
See the Services Page for all the details. CRC has received a very generous donation of 30 handmade afghan blankets! We will be providing them to those in need in the coming days.
CRC threw a spook-tacular Halloween bash for the residents of Applegate Terrace Apartments on October 31! Fourteen residents—and a handful of their excited young relatives—joined in on the fun. We loaded the table with cookies, cupcakes, candy, and a bubbling bowl of delicious sherbet punch. One generous resident even brought a whole pan of homemade Rice Krispie treats full of chocolate chips to share! Guests got creative with pumpkin painting, coloring pages, and a festive sticker-and-paper craft. The candy-corn guessing game cast its spell—after many chilling guesses, one clever little girl guessed the enchanted number and captured the prize! (she named the bear “Biscuit”)
Laughter, treats, and creativity filled the room—everyone had a fang-tastic time! Applegate Landing Residents can come to the office on October 31st from 8am to 6pm to enter.
Winners will be announced on Monday, November 3rd. Joshua Gibson and I hosted a Crossroads Connections information table at the new Lebanon Fire Station. The turnout was exceptional, and we were able to share information with a large number of community members. Our presence was well received—many people expressed appreciation for the services that Crossroads provides to the community.
Having our client, Joshua, participate was especially meaningful, as it gave the community a firsthand look at the positive impact Crossroads has in helping individuals rebuild their lives. The event itself was very engaging—the firefighters and EMTs gave live demonstrations, including medical response interactions. Overall, it was a fun, successful, and valuable outreach opportunity for Crossroads Connections. - Johnny |
